Palm Sunday Service Prayers for Ukraine

Prayers for Ukraine and its people will be a feature of the Palm Sunday Evensong service at the Cathedral.
Everyone who would like to pray for peace for the people and country of Ukraine will be welcome to the service on Sunday 10 April starting at 5pm. Many other churches and faiths have shown their support for the Ukrainian people through prayer, fasting and aid initiatives.
Evensong is a traditional choral service and the Cathedral Choir will sing the new composition be well-known composer John Rutter ‘Prayer for Ukraine’.
Napier Mayor Kirsten Wise will speak, the prayer time will be a meaningful part of this service and donations for the welfare of Ukrainian families will be grateful received.
We welcome everyone who wants to come together and support the Ukraine in this way.
