Join us as we celebrate the rebuilding of our city in the art deco style following the 1931 Earthquake. 

Everyone is very welcome into the Cathedral for three special services during the Art Deco Festival.

8am A traditional communion service ‘Remembering the Cost‘ as we focus on the loss of lives and the old city in the earthquake.

10am Communion with a Jazz style Mass is an almost traditional service. Enjoy joyful Gospel Spirituals, well-known hymns and a mass with a jazz setting by Bill Bennett. The Cathedral Choir accompanied by the Cathedral Strings. 

4pm Jazzing Up Church is a service of thanksgiving with upbeat jazz and gospel music to add a final uplifting flourish to your Art Deco weekend.
