Cruise ship season is in full swing If you’d like to be part of our hosting ministry for these visitors, please check the rosters on the board at the back of the cathedral and add your name where there’s a space that suits you. Scanning and transcription volunteers for Diocesan Registers
Do you have time in a day, morning, or afternoon to spare?
A small team is scanning and transcribing our Baptism, Marriage, and Burial registers to preserve our history. You would be given training to use the scanner in the Diocesan Office in Raffles Street Napier. If you are confident using an excel spreadsheet and are used to reading cursive writing we would appreciate your time to transcribe the registers. New Diocese Centre Next Door
The new Waiapu Diocese Centre next door is almost complete (the construction team and contractors did a big push to complete before Christmas and we hope they are enjoying their break). Continue to pray for a smooth transition so the team can settle in quickly and get on with their good work in the new premises. We look forward to having new neighbours!
