Welcome to the Parish Pump!
KEEPING US CONNECTED
Coming Up
WAIAPU WALKS!
Join our social group as we walk and reflect on God’s creation in Hawke’s Bay. There are a range of walks to suit different levels of energy, and there’s always an opportunity for a cuppa and chat. The next walk is a venture into history across Napier Hill with the Bishops Walk on Saturday 27 July – plus a morning tea stop and tour of former Bishops residence on Napier Terrace.
Mobility challenged? If you can’t manage a very long walk but would like to get out and about, we’re happy to take passengers. Let us know and come and enjoy a new vista and company for coffee afterwards.
PINS & NEEDLES
Last Saturday of the month at 10am – next on 27 July.
If you like a bit of a knit and natter, or a stitch and share, then you’ll be made to feel welcome and warm at this hands-on group. Bring a project (or come to learn) and share some fellowship and morning tea!

Scanning and transcription volunteers for Diocesan Registers
Do you have a spare day, morning, or afternoon to spare?
We are currently scanning and transcribing our Baptism, Marriage, and Burial registers to preserve our history. You would be given training to use the scanner in the Diocesan Office in Raffles Street Napier, or if you are confident using an excel spreadsheet and are used to reading cursive writing we would appreciate your time to transcribe the registers. Please contact Jenny Cawston 027 4352947 or Jillian King 021 2034387 for further information if you are interested.
CAN YOU HELP WITH CANS?
Non-perishable grocery items are always warmly received at church for distribution to needy families. You can bless them with milo, soup, cereal, spaghetti or baked beans, baby food, tea, coffee, biscuits, rice or pasta meal mixes – in fact anything that you may be able to offer. Keep an eye on specials and buy extra when you can.
With grateful thanks,
Sue John, People’s Warden
